The office manages interactions between the Foundation’s researchers and the Local Ethics Committee of Foggia regarding Biomedical Observational Research Studies, including:

• Compassionate use programs;
• Screening programs;
• Disease registries;
• Telemedicine studies;
• Digital therapy studies;
• Clinical activities not directly involving patients (e.g., research related to the use of biological samples stored in biobanks);
• Non-pharmacological interventional clinical trials, where the study does not involve a drug (e.g., diagnostic methodologies, non-pharmacological therapies, surgical procedures);
• Translational research (e.g., studies aimed at translating findings from basic research into clinical applications to improve and enhance methods for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases, such as studies on predictive biomarkers).
