Grant Office
The Grant Office supports the Scientific Director in planning activities and is responsible for managing, monitoring, and overseeing research projects, guiding researchers through every phase—from pre-submission to final reporting—in close collaboration with other departments. Specifically, the Grant Office assists in drafting research proposals for submission to various funding agencies, ensuring the organization’s eligibility, verifying the project’s scientific originality and validity, assessing compliance with guidelines, and ensuring the budget aligns with the planned activities. Additionally, it coordinates with other departments to evaluate participation criteria and share the necessary documentation.
For approved projects, the Grant Office monitors deadlines for scientific and administrative reporting, reviews scientific reports to be submitted to funding bodies, and provides support to the departments responsible for financial reporting. During project implementation, it evaluates requests related to the procurement of reagents and equipment, recruitment of dedicated personnel, and mission expenses, submitting them for the Scientific Director’s approval.
In collaboration with other departments, the Grant Office also evaluates and safeguards the scientific output, processes, drugs (both cellular and non-cellular), and therapies developed through research by securing patents.
Finally, the Grant Office prepares documentation and statistics to enable the Scientific Director to allocate funds for Ongoing Research and evaluate the scientific productivity of clinical and laboratory units.
As part of its fundraising efforts, the Grant Office periodically distributes a newsletter to the organization’s researchers, providing information on national and international funding opportunities and calls for proposals.
