 Model 231

The Board of Directors of the Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza Foundation, through resolutions of September 23, 2013, and December 9, 2013, adopted Legislative Decree No. 231 of June 8, 2001. This decree governs the "Regulation of administrative liability for legal entities, companies, and associations, including those without legal personality." The Foundation implemented the Organizational, Management, and Control Model (MOG 231) to ensure compliance with this regulation.

The Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics of Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza is a cornerstone of the MOG 231, with the primary purpose of promoting and communicating the Institute’s vision and mission while establishing a framework of ethical values and behavioral guidelines. These are intended to foster a commitment from individuals in managerial positions, employees, and third parties involved in the organization’s operations to uphold morally responsible conduct and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.

Specifically, the Code of Ethics defines:

  • The vision, mission, ethical values, and principles that underpin the corporate culture and managerial philosophy;
  • Behavioral guidelines for meeting one’s responsibilities and interacting with both internal and external stakeholders of the healthcare organization;
  • Obligations for individuals, whether in managerial or non-managerial roles, to provide information and collaborate with the Supervisory Body;
  • A sanctions system applicable in cases of violations of the rules set forth in the Code of Ethics.
