Cancer Orientation Center (C.Or.O.)
The Cancer Orientation Centers (C.Or.O.) at the regional level aim to provide individuals with a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of cancer the opportunity to receive prompt, coordinated care at a specialized center located as close as possible to their place of residence.
The C.Or.O. at Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza is an integral part of the Apulian Oncology Network (R.O.P.), a system of centers and organizational units spread across the region. Leveraging the expertise of a multidisciplinary team—including oncologists, psycho-oncologists, nurse care managers, social workers, and administrative staff—these centers ensure comprehensive patient support from the pre-diagnostic stage, addressing clinical, administrative, and social needs effectively and holistically.
