The Neurorehabilitation Unit specializes in the comprehensive management of patients with severe acquired brain injuries (SABIs) during the subacute phase, particularly those who have experienced or are still presenting disorders of consciousness following admission to intensive care or neurosurgery (Code 75).
Patients admitted for inpatient care are treated for the following conditions:
Cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, and subarachnoid hemorrhages.
Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs).
Degenerative disorders of the central nervous system.
